RRUC and the LGU of Datu Blah Sets dialogue meeting



The Regional Reconciliation and Unification Commission of Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao and the LGU of Datu Blah Sinsuat spearheaded the Dialogue Meeting between the Dabpil and Dakula family on September 17, 2017 at Brgy.Hall of Datu Blah Sinsuat Maguindanao.
The dialogue meeting composed of the RRUC Chairman Romeo K. Sema, The DBS Mayor Raida Tomawis-Sinsuat, former Mayor Datu Marshall Sinsuat, members of MILF 104th and MILF 105th, Ryan Dave Diongco of CCCH-GPH, CCCH-MILF Omar Bayao, PSI Haron Macabanding (PNP DBS) and LGU’s Peace Keeping Force.
Dabpil Family failed to attend the foregoing dialogue despite of their commitments in the previous meeting last September 7, 2017.
On the meeting, the discussions review the previous agreements, updates of areas were affected and the status of peace keeping force from the national guard of MILF.
The LGU requesting the MILF Leadership to control, ensure and strengthen the agreement for ceasefire,

As the results, the panel come up of scheduling another round of dialogue meeting and set to held in Cotabato City, the MILF will monitor the implementation of the agreement and ensure the attendance of both parties involved.

ACRMS conducts Planning Workshop at Davao City




The Regional Reconciliation and Unification Commission of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao in partnership with The Asia Foundation conducted Planning Workshop for the ARMM Coordinating Mechanism for Rido Settlement (ACMRS) on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 12-13, 2017 at Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao.
The ACMRS has been a milestone to the commission for bringing together the different agencies, organizations and sectors to collaboratively addressing the confronting issues of rido in the region.
“It is clear that we do not have control over the issue of rido but the only thing we can do is to facilitate the reconciliation and unification between the conflicting parties,” said Romeo K. Sema, RRUC Chairman.
Noraida Chio, the senior program officer of TAF said one of the critical issues affecting Philippines is the horizontal conflict. “The Asia Foundation is committed to improving lives across a dynamic and developing Asia,” Chio added.
The 2-day Planning Workshop aimed at capacitating the focal persons from each member agencies of the mechanism. It has collectively formulated a deliberate plan of interventions to at least reduce the 246 unsettled rido cases in ARMM in support to its Regional Development Plan in promoting peace and security.
The activity was facilitated by Mr Suharto Abas and was actively participated by the different line agencies of ARMM, task force from different provincial offices, the PNP and the AFP, the civil society organizations and others from the ulama councils. (RRUC Communications Division)

RRUC attended and participated the Advanced Filmmaking Workshop of forumZFD (KuMuNet) at Eden Nature Park and Resort, Davao City on September 12-16, 2017.

The Mediators Group headed by the Regional Reconciliation and Unification Commission together with the LGU of Datu Blah Sinsuat, Provincial Government of Maguindanao ( MTFRUC), Law Enforcenent and the CCCH GPH and CCCH MILF decided for anothet round of dialogue for the settlement of land conflict in Resa, DBS, Maguindanao despite of "deadlack" last August 28,2017.

RRUC chairs facilitative mediation, truced two clans conflicting in Maguindanao




MAGUINDANAO – The Regional Reconciliation and Unification Commission of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao spearheaded the facilitative mediation over land dispute between Sinsuat and Parti clans on Monday, August 14, 2017 at the Municipal Hall, Datu Blah Sinsuat.
The mediation panel composed of the RRUC chairman Romeo K. Sema, the DBS mayor Raida Tomawis-Sinsuat and former mayor Marshall Sinsuat, vice-mayor Datu Tato Mustapha, Maguindanao Task Force Reconciliation and Unification deputy chair Abdulnasser Malingco.
PSSUPT Agustin Telco of PNP Maguindanao, Lt. Col. Jose Marie T. Sonte of Philippine Marines, and Coordinating Committee on Cessation of Hostilities both GPH and MILF also comprised the mediation panel.
The Parti clan was first to underwent dialogue with the panel. In the dialogue, the Parti clan, alleged claimant said they held Certificate of Title No. V16 of July 25, 1949 under the Commonwealth Act No. 141 covering 15 hectares, 27 acres and 43 centimeters but said it was forcedly acquired by the other party.
Sinsuat clan on the other hand stood firmly as the true owner of the said land even holding the authentic document of the land entitlement, but refused to show it for confidentiality purposes.
The mediation panel come up with a truce in a form of “status quo” signed by the both parties and the panel members as witnesses effective until the decision will be made on August 26, 2017 to be held in Cotabato City as continuation to the first dialogue conducted.

RRUC conducts Training on Data Banking Usage




The Regional Reconciliation and Unification Commission of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao conducted Training on Data Banking Usage on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Sultan Hall, Pagana Kutawato Native Restaurant.
In line with the campaign of the province dubbed as “The Working ARMM”, RRUC has established ARMM Coordinating Mechanism for Rido Settlement as a platform for coordination and collaboration as well as sharing of data and information with all its member agencies.
During the regular quarterly meeting of the coordination mechanism last March this year, one of the agreements among others are the creation of a Data Banking System to be created by RRUC in order to synchronize and centralize the data and reports from member agencies. Consequently, the Data Banking have set up last month.
“We use data banking in our everyday life… sending emails even our Facebook and Twitter posts are example of data banking,” said Aron Quiray, resource speaker. “We need to be techie (someone who knows a lot of technology) because we are now in the computer era,” he added.
By the use of the data system developed by the commission, the member agencies can upload reports in the data system website and through this, the commission will serve as the server and has an access to all data uploaded.
“We have seen the importance of data base in centralizing rido cases in our region,” said Romeo K. Sema, RRUC Chairman.
The training was attended by the different line agencies of ARMM, the security sectors, the provincial task force and also the members from the civil society organization.
It was expected the participants will be able to practice the technical skills out of the training, likewise each member agencies would provide reliable data on rido cases. (RRUC Communications Division)
